25 on the server is not the same as 4 in the match
An October 5, 2026 experience snapshot lists a server size of 25. A beginner guide from the next day says you can play with three other people, the match continues until all four are defeated, and each player is paid from their own contribution. A later co-op write-up treats 25 as the lobby cap and still tells you to fight as a small fireteam.
Use both reports this way. The server can be large. The match your rewards come from is described as a group of four. You cannot direct twenty other people, and you do not need 24 teammates for the class skills to function. Coordinate with the people who are actually on your side of the lane.
A call that fits the skills
Say the crowded side and the open side in one short line, then move that way. If a large monkey is far away and a closer one is sealing the exit, clear the exit first. Medic's heal does not tell the group which way to walk.
Useful splits, once people own the classes:
- One player on Juggernaut holds the loud lane and says when to give ground. Brace and Warpath are personal. The team still has to move.
- One player on Bomber saves Satchel and Short Fuse for a packed path. Announce the blast so the holder can step into it only if they mean to.
- Medic drops the medkit where people already stand, and the healing pod where the hold is. Code Blue is the crest heal, not a replacement for leaving a dead tile.
- Engineer puts the turret where it sees the lane, repairs it for 20 hit points when it breaks, and Overclocks when several turrets are already down. A turret on an empty flank does not help the door.
Survivor is a complete early kit for this plan: barricade the lane, grenade the clump, Airstrike the crest. You do not need a 75,000 Gem class before the group can play together.
Before you queue
Claim lobby rewards on each account first. A friend who still has the tutorial unfinished cannot use your Codes button. Prices and owned classes are per account.
If the last loss was four people standing in four places, the next queue should start on one lane. If the last loss was a heal that nobody picked up, put the medkit on the hold, not behind it. Change the call before you change every class.
Keyboard, controller, and touch are all mentioned as ways to play. Only the keyboard inputs are published, on the first-session guide. Fix a control you keep missing before you blame the class.
