What ends a run
You lose when the monkeys surround the group and the health pool runs out. Cash and Gems are collected along the way, but the fight itself is endurance. By wave 20, published advice switches from camping one corner to moving and shooting, because later monkeys are tougher and the pack is dense enough to close a camp.
Named monkeys, and what was not named
These are the types given by name. Cash amounts per type were not published. Later waves add further types that are only described as more resilient.
| Type | What is published |
|---|---|
| Standard monkey | The early-wave body of the horde |
| Larger, brutish monkey | A bigger early variant |
| Red exploding monkey | Named as an exploding threat; blast size is not published |
| White monkey | Named, with no separate behavior published |
Survival notes also describe quicker monkeys that reach your exit before the main pack. That is a targeting rule, not a fifth official name. Shoot the monkey that is about to block the lane, then move through the gap. If the lane is already full, take a different open direction.
When several monkeys are packed on the tile you need, an area skill is the tool that makes space. Survivor's Grenade is the free version of that idea. It costs 50 Cash. If the skill is down, move and use the gun. Do not stand in the pack waiting for a cooldown that is not ready.
Where to stand
Hold a path that forces monkeys into a narrower line: a doorway, a bridge mouth, or a corner. A wide open peek looks clear until the sides arrive. Keep two steps of exit behind you, and look at the next spawn between reloads. Chasing one monkey far off that path is how the pack fills the route you left.
Upgrade on purpose. If the last wipe was chip damage, spend Cash on health with C before the next crest. If packs reach melee every time, spend Cash on the next weapon tier with V. Do not open the upgrade in the loudest seconds unless the purchase is instant.
Class jobs while the wave is live
The skills that create these jobs are on the class pages. This is how to use them, not a second price list.
- Survivor can throw a grenade into a clump and drop a barricade on the lane. Airstrike is the Ultimate.
- Medic puts a medkit on the floor for 15% health and a healing pod that restores 15 health per tick. Code Blue is the group heal. Both placed skills cost Cash.
- Engineer repairs a placement for 20 hit points at no Cash cost, sets a turret for 9 damage a shot, and can Overclock every turret for 10 seconds.
- Juggernaut knocks monkeys back with Ground Slam, takes 30% less damage for five seconds while slowed, and gains 100 health in Warpath.
- Bomber places a satchel you can detonate for movement or 200 damage, turns into a 200-damage blast, and leaves 120-damage explosions on Blast Dash.
- Outlaw fires a 200-damage hip shot, a bouncing dive shot, and six Ultimate shots at 200 damage each, if that class is unlocked on the account.
Use the expensive blast on a clump, not on one standard monkey. Use Brace or a barricade when the lane is about to collapse, not at the start of an empty wave.
Hardcore
Hardcore is described as a tougher enemy setup than the standard mode. No separate spawn list or reward multiplier was published. The same guides say a group makes that mode more playable. Read playing together for the party-size conflict before you assume the whole server is one squad.
An event titled "BOSSES coming soon..." was listed for Saturday, October 10, 2026. No boss name, health, or reward was published with that title. Do not build a route around a boss that has no moves yet.
